Switch Edging
20 XP when a coach verifies it
What it is
Now you've mastered the surface frontside 180, it's time to get your switch riding up to speed. Switch riding may feel horrible at first, but learning to ride switch is one of the most important things in cable wakeboarding
How to do it
- Learning to ride with your switch foot will massively help you gain board control quickly.
- Think of mirroring your movements and body position when riding with your regular foot.
- This will not come easily, but regular practice will help you get comfortable!
Common problems
- I really struggle to edge switch toeside. Don't worry! This will take a lot of practice to get used to. Make sure to focus on keeping both knees bent and really try to mimick your regular edging.
What your coach looks for
Ride in your non-dominant stance while maintaining a controlled heelside and toeside edge.
